The Importance of Eating Disorder Prevention and Body Image Programming on Campus

The average age of eating disorder onset is 18-21 years old and diagnostic prevalence in college students is up to 28%. Body image disturbance rates alone have increased to nearly 90% for college students. The presenter will share current research and how Boise State University is implementing the Be Body Positive Model to create a weight-neutral, health-centered approach for self-care on campus that empowers students to eat, exercise, and live intuitively.
